Here, in our Library, we try
our best to practically implement the Five Laws of Library Science devised by
Dr. S. R. Ranganathan, Father of Library Science.
These Five Laws are:
1. Books are for
Use.
2. Every Reader
His/Her Book.
3. Every Books Its
Reader.
4. Save the Time
of the Reader.
5. Library is a
Growing Organism.
Efforts are made to provide the
best possible service to the readers of the library. Books are arranged
according to Subjects and sub-subjects are are classified according to Dewey
Decimal Classification. Open Access System is followed so that readers can
easily access the books and the books are arranged in such a manner that they
are easily visible to the readers. The collection includes books on almost all
the subjects of interest of the present as well as perspective readers. The
Library staff is very active and ever helpful to give service to its readers so
that the time of its users is not wasted in any manner. The library collection
is updated frequently and the old and outdated collections are replaced with
the newer ones and computers and ICT technologies are introduced for library
operations. Thus the library is growing at pace with the time.
DELNET
DELNET
stands for Developing Library Network. DELNET
has been established with the prime objective of promoting resource sharing
among the libraries through the development of a network of libraries. It aims
to collect, store, and disseminate information and also to reduce unnecessary
duplication wherever possible.
Our Library is a member
of DELNET and anyone, who is a member of our library may request for the Login
Details and access the DELNET resources online from their own computers/mobiles
etc.
